Near Death Experiences

Out Of Body Experiences, & Spiritually Transformative Experiences

A Near-Death Experience can be so profound and life-altering that it reshapes your entire understanding of reality, leading to a deep shift in how you perceive both yourself, the world, and of Life itself.

At The NDE Connexion, we aim to provide you with a professional safe and supportive environment to freely explore, discuss, and process various aspects of Near Death Experiences (NDEs), Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs) and Out Of Body Experiences (OBEs), and the metamorphosis that takes place within and around oneself.

The NDE Connexion is a place where you can connect for support with Dr Lily Amorous, a Clinical Psychologist and an NDEr herself, who appreciates first hand the challenges that arise upon re-entry to one’s life following an NDE.

Dr Lily Amorous is passionate about providing safe, ethical, and professional spaces for NDErs, and values working with fellow NDErs by:

·       Trusting your experience, whereby one is believed and not “diagnosed away”

·       Honouring your experience without it being interpreted through a narrow clinical lens

·       Respecting spiritual and emotional states of being and mystery

·       Embracing your worth, whereby one is met as a whole human—not a ‘case’ or a curiosity

The NDE Connexion is a space for you to process your NDE authentically to your experience. Here, we focus on Integration, not interpretation, by:

  • Honouring the emotional, spiritual, and existential impact of your experience

  • Supporting you to make changes in your life aligned with your new insights or values

  • Rebuilding your sense of self after ego dissolution or loss of identity

  • Supporting you to navigate heightened sensitivity, intuition, or “abilities” that may have emerged

We welcome all beliefs, orientations, backgrounds, neurotypes, soul origins, scientific, and spiritual approaches.

Here, at The NDE Connexion, Connection is honoured, and Kindness is embraced.

Dr Lily Amorous is a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience. At the age of 47, she experienced an NDE after Drowning. The experience had a profound impact on her life, in every way.

Dr Lily Amorous established The NDE Connexion to create a safe, kind, accepting, space for NDErs, to share, express, and integrate their Near Death Experience, and to ensure that there is ongoing professional support available to them.

The NDE Connexion is also a place to seek support and professional psychology services for spiritually transformative experiences, out of body experiences, personal spiritual exploration, end of life issues, and death related concerns.

Recognising that NDEs are an area not commonly focused on in Mental Health, Dr Lily Amorous is also passionate about educating, training, supervising, and supporting Healthcare Professionals to work with NDErs in an open, compassionate, authentic, and evidenced based manner.

Dr Lily Amorous is registered with key professional bodies, including AHPRA with Clinical Psychology Endorsement, Medicare, and APS. In 2016 she completed a Post Grad Qualification in Palliative Care. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology (2012), whereby her thesis researched the comparative efficacy of writing versus drawing upon emotion regulation, coping, and well-being.

Deeply valuing creative mediums, Dr Lily Amorous has been an exhibiting artist from a young age. Her NDE greatly impacted her creative pursuits, injecting a new found dimension and way of working into her arts practice.
